The government has announced that employers can now apply for a £1,000 bonus to help them take on trainees. The scheme will help support young people to gain skills and experience they need from the start, helping them to gain employment, or pursue an apprenticeship, or even for further study.
This will be available from 31st July 2021 and will help businesses with the costs of providing a high-quality work placement for a trainee. This also includes providing uniforms or helping with travel costs. Businesses that offer a new traineeship opportunity will receive the £1,000 bonus for every trainee, up to a maximum of 10 trainees. Employers can claim this cash incentive for all work placements that have been completed since 1st September. For further info, visit GOV.UK news
